Want to see more of me? holds two events at the National Portrait Gallery

Want to learn more about photography?

Want the chance to discuss some of the hottest topics in film?

As part of the National Portrait Gallery's Young People's Programme, the BBC, the UK Film Council and National Portrait Gallery have teamed up to bring you two events that will allow you to do just that.

Both events focus on the Want to see more of me? exhibition and the issues that the portrait's raise. The events will both be held at the National Portrait Gallery on Sunday 7th September 2008

The first event which is from 13:00 - 16:00 allows participants to work with Donald MacLellan photographer for the Want to See More of Me? exhibition and photographer Gisela Torres who has photographed amongst others Lawrence Fishburne and Alexa Chung, to develop their own artistic and photographic skills. Spaces are limited so to register visit the BBC Blast on Tour website.

The second event is at 16:30 - 17.30 and is a question and answer session, with Donald MacLellan, actor Noel Clarke (star and director of Adulthood) and Marcia Williams from the UK Film Council 's diversity department . The three participants will take part in a discussion about film, photography, diversity and portrayal. If you've got a question come along to the National Portrait Gallery Auditorium and join in. There are 80 places for people 13-24 and 20 places for anyone over 25. To register for this event please visit the BBC Blast on Tour website.

Places are free but will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

The Want to see more of me? exhibition  is a striking series of portraits of Black British film actors on display at the National Portrait Gallery. Due to the overwhelming success of the exhibition the run has been extended until 21 September.
